Strengthening International Cooperation: James Madison University Representative Visits HUFLIS 2026-04-04

On April 2–3, 2026, Dr. Bob Kolvoord, Provost and Vice President of James Madison University (USA), visited and held working sessions at HUFLIS.

During his visit, Dr. Kolvoord met with HUFLIS leadership to discuss directions for future collaboration. The two sides focused on expanding student and faculty exchange programs, strengthening academic research partnerships, and exploring opportunities to develop joint academic programs.

He also engaged with students and held academic discussions with faculty members from the Faculty of International Studies. These activities helped foster stronger academic connections and provided HUFLIS students-particularly those majoring in American Studies-with greater exposure to an international learning environment.

James Madison University is a valued partner of HUFLIS. Since signing a cooperation agreement in 2024, the two institutions have implemented a range of meaningful initiatives, including student and faculty exchanges and the co-organization of an international conference on linguistics and language education.
